Jacob Ladnier

Chairman of Marketing and Business Development
Gulfport, Mississippi

Jacob’s strength is his ability to quickly and easily establish strong client relationships.  With minors in Psychology, Spanish and History, Jacob forms interpersonal connections with ease and simplicity.

Prior to receiving his Juris Doctor, Jacob worked in several mid-management positions where he was responsible for supervising employees, developing client relationships, and maximizing market presence.

Before joining Purvis & Co., Jacob served as Vice President of a manufacturing start-up enterprise in South Mississippi where he was responsible for supervising and managing a staff of 35 employees and the production of over 6,000 units per week.  During this time, he adapted to a 600% increase in staff and production within a three-month period.

While attending law school, Jacob worked in the university-sponsored Transactional Clinic where he practiced under a supervising attorney and focused primarily on the formation of small or single-member LLC and non-profit corporations, as well as compliance with related state and federal regulations and the creation of corporate governance documents.

Jacob received his Juris Doctorate in 2015 and was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in April 2016.   Despite being the youngest member of our firm, Jacob “hit the ground running.”  In his first year of practice, he obtained summary judgment on a premises liability case; negotiated insurance defense claims for sums well below policy limits; and prevailed  in contract disputes, judicial foreclosures, and other chancery matters.

Jacob’s practice focuses primarily on business law, insurance defense, premises liability, real estate and chancery matters.

Jacob is a member of the Harrison County Young Lawyers’ Association, and currently serves as Secretary. He also is a member of the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association.

When not spending time with family and friends, Jacob enjoys hunting, fishing, kayaking, hiking and camping.
