Brian was admitted to practice law in Mississippi in 2013. He began his legal career with a large Mississippi-based defense firm where his practice included commercial litigation, premises liability, contract disputes, worker's compensation, divorce, pre-suit evaluations, and risk management services. After five years, Brian began his own freelance legal practice, Convenience Counsel, PLLC, which provided law firms and clients of all sizes with high quality and efficient work product at a moment's notice. After a long-term relationship developed between Purvis & Co. and Convenience Counsel, Brian joined Purvis & Co. in an "Of Counsel" status.

Prior to being admitted to practice law, Brian graduated from the University Of Mississippi School Of Law, magna cum laude, where he was a member of the Mississippi Law Journal and winner of a Moot Court National Championship. Before law school, Brian graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi, Honors College, summa cum laude, with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both History and Political Science.

Brian is licensed to practice law in all Mississippi state courts, the Southern and Northern Districts of Mississippi Federal Courts, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Outside the practice of law, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and sons. His free time is usually occupied by fishing, making fishing lures, duck hunting, and camping
